story sketch: the undeadslayer

This is a scene from The Undeadslayer, a new story on the weblit site Dream Fantastic.
As Kennet’s head turned to look the elfman, having come up besides them without being noticed, slapped the open-palm of his hand onto Kennet’s forehead and began to pull at something. A strange shape, almost like a shadow, seemed to be pulled away from Kennet’s head.
The young farmer, Kennet, has been possessed by a shadow, and is freed by a visiting elf.

not-quite-story sketch: working on the railroad

This one isn't really from a story. It's a request from my friend Mike, a civil war re-enactor, who asked that I draw him "Doing something old timey! Civil war or otherwise.[..]maybe working on the railroad or something cool ;)" I think the resulting sketch looks like it could be from a story, so I'm posting it here anyway :)

status

My friends are awesome! XD After I wrote yesterday's status post about running out of sketch prompts, I went to wibble about it on facebook...and had no less than three new prompts before dinner! I've also been asked to illustrate a scene from [personal profile] wonder_city so if you can't find me for the next few hours, assume I'm "preparing". ;)

ETA: Just noticed, my Chatoyant College sketch has feedback from six people, so I'll work on refining it over the next couple of days :)
